Daniel Tapp has a wealth of experience in the legal system. He received his B.A. from Carleton University in 1978, and his LL.B from the University of Ottawa in 1981. He graduated from law school in the top third of his class. His career began in 1982, when he started his own practice fresh out of law school in Regina, Saskatchewan called Tapp & Silversides. This move was unheard of and of high risk, but proved successful. Along with managing his own practice, he also lectured in Business Law for ten years at the University of Regina’s Faculty of Business Administration. He later gained experience in a large firm when Tapp & Silversides merged with Mitchell, Taylor, Mattison, Ching in Saskatoon, where Daniel acted as a senior partner for the firm. Daniel left to pursue the creation of his own firm, known today as Daniel Tapp Law Firm Professional Corporation.

Daniel Tapp has more than 35 years of experience as an established senior Lawyer in Regina, Saskatchewan. He focuses on serious personal injury cases and family law. Over the years, he has been very successful and has recovered millions of dollars for his clients, including children and adults who have been seriously injured by doctors and in slip and fall cases. He is more than willing to go to trial for his clients and the insurance companies and doctors know that. He has trained articling students; guest lectured at various institutions, argued cases all over Canada and the U.S., conducted jury trials, and has recorded many successful cases.

Daniel Tapp was born in Claresholm, Alberta. He grew up in Peterborough, Ontario and pursued post-secondary education in Ottawa, Ontario. He moved to Saskatchewan in 1981 and has resided there ever since. He is happily married with 4 adult children and enjoys fishing, keeping fit, entertaining, singing, playing guitar, volunteering in the community, and going to the movies with his wife. He is considered compassionate, hardworking, entrepreneurial, humorous, and an experienced and skilled lawyer by his colleagues and clients. He takes pride in being a long standing resident of Saskatchewan.

Karon Swanson

Executive Assistant and Senior Office Manager

Karon has been with the firm since 2001 and has been working in the legal industry since 1986.

She handles all the accounting for the firm.  She also handles the estate files and keeps the office running smoothly.  Her goal is to make sure each and every client has a worry-free transaction.  Karon basically runs the office.    She is highly intelligent, professional, courteous and has a tremendous work ethic.

Karon and her husband Dean have raised one daughter who was married in 2015.   Karon and Dean have four Shit tzu puppies and two grand puppies whom she loves.   Karon enjoys sewing, music, CFL football, and spending time with family and friends.

Karon enjoys watching all curling events on TV and traveling to see as much live events such as the Brier and the World Curling Tour events.  She is a great supporter of the Matt Dunstone Team from Saskatchewan and the Kevin Koe Team from Alberta.  She has a nephew on each curling team and supports them both.

Karon has been an asset and her willingness to continue to learn will continue to make this firm flourish.
